Turkish Airlines handled 93.441 passengers on its flights between Istanbul and Ljubljana during the first half of the year, representing an increase of 15.1% on the same period last year. It added 11.447 travellers on the route year-on-year. Turkish Airlines’ average cabin load factor on the route for the duration of the first half of the year stood at 76.8%.

During the second half of the year, the carrier is reducing frequencies on a number of routes across its network, including Ljubljana, as a result of the grounding of up to 45 of its Airbus narrowbody aircraft due to new required inspections of the aircraft’s Pratt & Whitney PW1100G geared turbofan (GTF) engines. The frequency cuts, which have so far been scheduled until November, vary by week, with services to Ljubljana reduced to between eleven and thirteen weekly flights on the initially planned fourteen weekly rotations.
